DHARM :: Everything prescribed by the epics-scripters, leading to Sadgati (improvement of Perlok-next birth reincarnation, abode, leading to freedom from rebirth) by undertaking chastity, ascetic, righteous, auspicious, pious acts and rejecting inauspicious acts. Whole hearted efforts, expenses made; devotion of body, innerself, mind and soul, physique, ability, status, rights, capabilities for the welfare of others (mankind, society, world), leading to the welfare of the doer is Dharm.
Dharm promotes worldly endeavours and efforts for Salvation promotes attainment of the Ultimate. Dharm and dutifulness are the two sides of the same coin. Completion of own duties-Varnashram Dharm, leads to Yog & the practice of Yog awards the gist, nectar, elixir, basic truth, theme, central idea automatically, which is the back bone of of Karm & Gyan Yog.
DHARM :: The practice-duty, whose nature is to follow the orders-dictates of the God, justice without partiality, to do all the common interest, which is supervised by the evidentiary evidences and being Vedokt and is acceptable to all human beings, it is called religion. [Aryodshyratnamala, Dayanand Saraswati]
Knowledge of Dharm Shastr comes through listening (understanding, analysing, meditating) to scriptures (sermons, discourses, speeches, preaching by saints-sages, philosophers, scholars, Pandits, learned, enlightened, Guru) leading to loss of wickedness, evils, cruelty and attainment of Salvation-Moksh.
Explanation of the tenets of scriptures by the narrator Guru makes it easy to grasp. The treatise constitutes of listening, reading, understanding and application in life. Interest in discourses modifies attitude and metamorphosis-transformation to spirituality begins.
Ved, Upnishad, Vedant, Itihas, Bhagwat Geeta, Ramayan, Maha Bharat, Brahmans, Aranyak form the core of Dharm.

ADHARM :: Use of position-status for inauspicious acts, selfishness, teasing, paining others, cruelty, torture, terrorism, vices, wickedness, snatching others belongings, murder etc. is Adharm. It creates bonds, ties and hurdles for the doer. Scriptures have prescribed-described the various acts an individual should do, depending upon Varnashram, Country, social decorum, convention, dignity and the situation.
अधर्मी ::
The drunkards, passionate, frantic-frenetic, tired-weak, angry-furious, hungry, one in a hurry, greedy, afraid-feared and the lascivious do not worry about Dharm (virtuous, ethics, dignity). The learned, scholars, prudent should not keep relations-dealings with such people.
Donation-charity, pity over the living beings, chastity, speaking the truth, compassion, patience, pardon-excuse is Sanatan-Etrnnal Dharm.

सारी धरती को अपना घर समझो; consider the whole earth to be a home.
Those who have learnt Veds including Manu and other sages (Rishis, Brahm Rishis, Mahrishis, holy men) who carried forward the traditions, principles, laws, rules, ethics, customs, virtuous conduct leading to self satisfaction and the Veds themselves are the proof of the Dharm-religiosity.
Whatever has been said by Manu Ji pertaining to Dharm-religiosity, duties-responsibilities already exists in the Veds since Manu Ji was omniscient (सर्वज्ञ, सर्वदर्शी).
Manu Ji extracted the gist of Veds pertaining to the behaviour, interaction, mode of working-functioning of the humans in different cosmic era. Due to self interest-motive the ignorant, imprudent, idiot refuse to accept-follow the dictates of Dharm and suffer.
The enlightened has to continue with his Dharm-duties in accordance with the tenets of Veds, by meditating, analysing, thinking, understanding, conceptualising thoroughly and viewing through divine vision.
Since, one who follows the Dharm-practices described in the Veds and Smrati gets name, fame, glory, honour and comforts-pleasure in the higher abodes.
Shruti-revelation should be identified as Veds and the Smrati (memory, tradition) as Dharm-religion, since both of them are beyond argument, reason, controversy, question and all religious practices have emerges from them.
The Swarn (upper caste, twice born, higher castes) who insults (defy, dishonour, blaspheme, contempt, slur) the basics of the Dharm-religion namely Veds & the Smrati, deserves to be rebuked-condemned by the gentlemen, since he is a cynic (detractor, backbiter, denigrator, satirist, निंदक, मानवद्वेषी, चुगलखोर, आक्षेपक, निन्दोपाख्यान करने वाला) and such a person is an atheist.
Ved, Smrati, good conduct and satisfaction to the soul are the four characteristics-pillars of Dharm.
The preaching-sermons of Dharm & enlightenment are meant for those who are indulged in earning and sex (Wealth & desire). Those who wish to attain enlightenment Veds are the best proof which gives the guidelines-right direction.
In the case of contradictions in the Shruti, Manu decided to consider both the interpretations as Dharm and the Mahrishis too followed him.
The Almighty declared that HE is the basis-support of Brahm, Ambrosia-Amrat, everlasting cosmic order (Dharm) and absolute bliss.
The Almighty made it absolutely clear to Arjun that HE is the Brahm-God, Ambrosia-Amrat, the eternal religion-Sanatan Dharm, i.e., Hindu Dharm and the Ultimate  Bliss. The manner in which water is seen as ocean, river, glacier, well, cloud, vapours, mist, ice, fog; the God too is seen in various other forms time and again to perpetuate the humanity.
The ethics (Dharm, virtues, righteousness, piousity) is the only friend which accompany the soul even after death in next incarnation and  all other materials are lost-parish with the body.
Each of the doer of the crime-sin, the witness in favour of the doer, the judges-council members-jury who pass judgement in favour of the guilty and the king get one fourth of the guilt.
In this manner the king in whose empire injustice prevails is sure to achieve hellsTo be sure most of the present day ministers, parliamentarians are going to hells.
That intelligence (mentality, tendency, inclination-bent of mind), which is not capable of differentiation between Dharm (Religion, religiosity) and Adharm (Non religious, irreligiosity, deeds–actions (pious & sins), ought to be discarded-rejected); what should be done and what should not be done is Rajsik.
Attachments create defects like favouritism, prejudices, unevenness, in the working of the Rajsik doer. He is unable to justify, judge, differentiate or choose the right action, as per need of the situation. Engagement with attachments and prejudices, create bonds with the world. One fails to understand the world. He should understand this & detach. Once association with the God is established, the devotee becomes his component. This association is generated by Gyan-prudence, love and knowledge. Rajsik mentality turns into Satvik, which identifies the do’s and don's clearly through prudence. Prudence enables him, in the differentiation between Dharm-Adharm, do’s-don’ts, bonds and Salvation.
To bring the devotee out of confusion, the Almighty asserts that he should immerse all his prescribed, ordained, Varnashram duties in HIM and come to HIS fore, refuge, shelter, asylum and that HE will take care of the devotee, asks him not to worry, bother, grieve as, HE will liberate, relieve him of all sins.
Confusion forces the individual to seek advice and protection from the ones, who are superior to him, who assure him to forget everything and get relieved. When a person fails to decide, what is right and what is wrong or what to do what not to do, it’s better for him to either surrender to the situation or the God. He may survive the situation, but surrender to God will ensures protection, added with well being.
Dharm-Religion is synonym to duties assigned to a person by the God. Some of them are part of his natural tendencies, while the others are meant for his survival. No one is advised to give up work. Rejection of prescribed, Varnashram  duties, work-labour for survival leads to nowhere. It’s not possible to be without work, since the body, organs, senses, mind, heart never rests, they continue working till the bearer is alive. Excellence is attained by controlling senses, sensuality, righteous duties, essential functions. Carrying out of duties, does not create bonds, as it’s obligatory to perform them, both for humans and Demigods-deities, for well being-welfare. Continuance of work (both prescribed & mandatory duties) till the last breath, relives the person of the sins. One should not be selfish; he should work for his family, society, country & the world-humanity as a whole.
Nature perpetuates due to performance of duties, which ultimately leads to Salvation, if made without attachment. Wise people too work-perform their duties unlike ignorant people. The wise should get work accomplished by the ignorant people, properly.
The Almighty assures the confused devotee, that offering, immersing, submission of deeds in HIM, will absolve him of all responsibilities, as the God HIMSELF has taken over possession, of them for accomplishment. The one who submits himself-surrenders, with all his deeds, ensures his liberation, since the God HIMSELF is goal, as well as means. Whatever, deficiency remains, will be compensated by the God, HIMSELF for the weaknesses of the devotee. Refuge under the God, provides infinite divine elixir of love-pleasure, BLISS that’s why it is the excellent-best possible means to Salvation.
Rishi Vamdev who are aware-enlightened of the gist of Dharm & Adharm was not sully-slurred by sin when he desired to eat the flesh of a dog under the impact of hunger to protect his life.
Great ascetic Bhardwaj along with his son asked Vrabhu-a carpenter, many cows when he was stared by hunger in a lonely forest.
Rishi Vishwa Mitr who knew the gist of Dharm-Adharm (right-wrong), agreed to eat the dog's haunch receiving it from a Chandal, tormented by hunger.

Soul, is immortal, eternal imperishable, infinite, indestructible, free from ageing, distinction, unitary, undivided, unbreakable, impenetrable.
Soul is forever, unique and unilateral.
The eternal soul is free from characteristics. The basic characteristics Satv (Goodness, Virtues), Raj (Actions, deeds, desires), Tam (Ignorance), inertia bounds the soul with the body-nature and obstruct in its release-relinquishment. The soul is imperishable and free from any characteristics-qualities.
Its the store house of impressions of one's good or bad deeds, unless they are completely eliminated by undergoing the impact of them in repeated incarnations.
The inertial nature-the organism, creature has no faculty-capacity to feel pleasure or pain. For this purpose, the soul is essential.
One who is the visionary, himself visualise, watches, witnesses everything-event, all pervading, complete and free, conscious, aware (alert, vigilant, rational), inert, dissociated, desire less and quite-peaceful. It’s only due to illusion that it all appears worldly.
The soul is not involved in any activity of the possessor. It just visualises the actions of the doer but carries with it the impact of sins and virtues along with it in next incarnations; just like the air which carries smoke, moisture, heat-cold, gases, pollutants with it.
One may consider it to be just like the driver installed in a computer to perform certain function. No driver no desired action.
Having understood-learnt that the soul is pure, conscious, rational, alert, aware, vigilant and extremely beautiful, one should not acquire impurity by attraction in genital organs or passions (sensuality, sexuality, lust, Lasciviousness).
One who has understood-identified the Almighty and the soul as one is extremely rare and free from all fears.  He does not feel afraid of anyone or anything.
The Muslims do not recognise this fact. They have devised a New term Allah. They call it Khuda as well. Malaysia-Muslim country have sole copy-right, patent over Allah.
The individual-soul is not associated-connected with any one. He is pure-perfect, can achieve-attain oneness, assimilation-SAYUJY, with the Brahm by renouncing-severing the virtual-illusionary connections with the world-universe.
All relations are lost after death, with the living as well as non living.
Having understood that the universe evolved-originated from one soul-the Ultimate-Almighty, like a bubble in the ocean, one should merge-assimilate himself with the Brahm.
The manner in which a drop of water is identical to water in the ocean, each and every solid particle is earth on falling over earth, in the same manner each and every individual become God on merging with HIM.
"The Almighty-Ultimate is infinite-limitless, like the sky-space and the universe is meaningless-unimportant like a pitcher". It's the enlightenment-knowledge, which is neither to be rejected nor to be accepted, one has to identify himself with it and live with it.
The sky-space & universe are components of nature. Nature is a component of the God. One as a soul is Atma-Shariri component of God, Parmatma-the Purush and as Sharir a component of nature-the Prakrati.

All the incarnations-embodiment of this perennial, immeasurable-beyond estimate (beyond destruction), regularly existing-stable soul (embodied self-Atma); are perishable-destructible, O! the descendant of great Bharat Vansh-clan you should fight the battle.
Which can not be destroyed-eliminated even by a minutest fraction, lost or become rare-scarce, due to any reason, in any period-segment of time, is perpetual-never ending.
Some thing which do not need proof-testimony, is a proof in itself, which is not a subject of the inner self or the sense organs. Philosophers, scholars, enlightened, scriptures, have a belief (faith, confidence) in it.
Which is for ever-perpetual. Air, sky and the life can not be seen. Its believed that they exist. There existence is felt, when we breath or see the birds-aeroplane flying or the distant stars-galaxies are observed. The sky begins from the earth and is limitless-without boundaries-infinite. Its present inside & out side the body as well. The soul is a fragment-component of the Almighty in the organism. The manner in which each fraction of empty space is sky each soul is a component of the Almighty. The Almighty is all pervading. He is present in each and every organism, particle.
O! The descendant of great Bharat fight the war-battle. All those, whom you see in front of you, are perishable; while the soul present in them is perpetual-everlasting.
One who is on the right, righteous, pious, virtuous path, must not be disheartened. He should continue with his endeavours. Act without the desire for rewards.
One who thinks that the soul can kill and the other one who thinks that it is dead (or may be killed); both are ignorant, since the soul neither kill any one nor can it be killed by any one.
The soul is unable to perform any activity of its own, in the absence of a material body. Soul's association with the body enables it to perform. Hence, body is essential for any activity. The body can perform till it has the soul otherwise not. It's neither the doer nor the deed. Its untainted-defect less-absolute.
Any thing which has defect, undergoes change, perform or has some activity associated with it and takes birth can die. It's the body which perish not the soul. Why should something which do not take birth or die, be grieved upon?!
The soul neither take birth or dies. Its free from evolution and rebirth-regeneration, since it is unborn-permanent, perennial absolute, forever, perpetual. Its not killed, when the body vanishes.
The organism is associated with 6 types of defects-activities :- Birth-coming to existence, change, physical presence, growth, decay (recede, reduce) & destruction (vanish, elimination, death. The soul is free from these defects. Its a component of the Almighty. Its free from association and dissociation. This imperishable, perennial, perpetual entity, is free from evolution and births. Its a proven self, free and untainted, unsmeared, unstained. This defect less entity does not take birth. This is always, continuous, undecaying, composed, absolute (always unchanging, endless, since ever).
The soul remains as such even after the destruction of the body. The organism passes through 84,00,000 incarnation in different lower species, before birth as a human being. Association of soul with the body, brings life to it.
The air & water acquires the impurities of the specific place where its blowing but after a while they free themselves from the impurities like dust, smoke, foul smells, scents, moisture etc. The soul too acquire sins, virtues or equanimity which may be neutralised in one or the other birth. It should be the endeavour of one to attain equanimity with pleasure pain and all creatures-species.
Hey Arjun-the son of Pratha! How can a human, who recognises this soul as imperishable, perpetual, perennial, free from birth & death, undecaying (unweaning, unspent), ever kill some one or get some one else killed?
One who is aware that the soul is free from death (decay, change, birth, loss) will not undertake, hesitate in killing some one or getting him killed. He will desist-discourage this practice.
The soul does not under go change, growth, diminish, reorient. It is defect less.
The stress is over the following of the scriptures which elaborate when, why, whom, how one should be killed. There should be no grief over the death of any one, who deserve to be killed. The torturous, troublesome, invader, terrorist, abductor-rapist, intruder, tyrant, murderer, deserve to be killed without repentance, tension, guilt, hesitation, fear.
The laws are framed by the criminals sitting in the parliament, assemblies who make laws with the escape routes for such people. One keep on fighting loosing battle in the courts, where the judges are appointed & patronised by these criminals, only. In India the collegium system must be abandoned and judges should be appointed through fair selection-competition.
The way a man rejects his torn-old cloths and accepts (change, wear) new cloths, the soul too leave the old (retired, incapable, fatigued, fragile) body and moves to the new body.
Its a common human tendency to change old-torn cloths. Some people change cloths as per new trends, fashion. No one worries for them. The stable one, too under goes the change of the soul from one incarnation to the other, without repentance, botheration, trouble, hesitation, grief.
Birds, animals-other creatures do not wear cloths. Nature has provided them with a protective fur-coat. However, some organism do reject their exoskeleton, skin, epidermis. They too have soul. The organism had to pass through innumerable bodies, which had to be deserted due to one reason or the other. Then, why should there be sorrow, at all?
The soul stays in a specific body only till its assigned period is incomplete-not over. No one is afraid of death. The fear is due to the unfulfilled desires or the pain associated with the weak, fragile, diseased, torn body. If one could die of his own desire-will, the entire world would have become empty. Every body would have left the body as soon a little pain-difficulty would have arrived.
The soul moves from one body to another and from one world, universe, galaxy to another, depending upon the nature of his deeds and the desires associated with the inner self at the time of death.
Every now & then one comes across news pertaining to rebirth and almost all details furnished by the person in new incarnation comes out to be correct.
I feel that the torture, pain in rebirth and coming up is too much. Growing, learning, preparing to adjust with the society & all that. So, I would like myself to prepare for Moksh-emancipation following the path of Karm-endeavours, Gyan-enlightenment & Bhakti-devotion.
This soul cannot be cut-hurt by weapons-arms, fire can not burn it, water can not melt, decay, dissolve, emaciated, rot, loss, numb, vanish, fortify, wet it and wind can not dry it.
Earth, water, Tej (fire, energy), air and the sky are the basic, raw, ancient, initial components, materials of nature. Weapons-arms are created from the earth. Earth, fire, air and water can not harm the soul, since they are created from the sky. Sky in it self is independent & is free from any activity. Sky provides them freedom, resting, idling place without being contaminated-smeared by them. The root-basic cause of sky is nature.
The soul (Purush, God) provides strength to nature. Therefore, nature can not destroy-vanish it. Arms (ammunition, weapons) can not reach the soul. This is defect less (pure, uncontaminated). Body will parish not the soul. So, the grief-reasoning of Arjun is unfounded, unreasonable, without logic, baseless.
Being a component of the Almighty the Soul is imperishable. It will continue its journey till it assimilates in the God.
Undoubtedly, this soul can not be cut, burnt, wet-soaked or dried, being perennial (absolute, perpetual, for ever, since ever), which is pervaded-present in each and every particle including all organism, stable-stationary, immobile and ancient-since ever.
The soul can not be cut-penetrated by any weapon, ammunition, curse, words or hymns-rhymes. It can not be burnt, evaporated, dried by any means. It can not be soaked, sucked, wet, dissolved, mixed. It can not be affected by any process-action. It's free from the impact of time, in any dimension. Its uniformly present-spreaded over in the body. It can not move out of the body or into it, of its own, independently, freely. (As soon as the organism is dead, it acquires yet another body identical to the one it had in the previous body, which is immaterial.) Its free from movement, vibrations being inertial, stationary by nature. It has no origin or end, being free from birth, rebirth, incarnations. Its present, ever since the inception of this universe. Its a component of the Almighty.
This is the soul by virtue which the body-physique feels, becomes conscious, aroused, awake, aware, alert. Without soul the body is a lump of mass.
However, its believed that the Yogis can leave the body, roam as per their wish and re-enter the body. Some Yogis (souls) acquires bodies of the people who were able bodied and died at young age without any disease by drowning etc.
Ghosts are wretched souls unable to enter any other body.
The soul is invisible (unrevealed, which can not be seen like air, intelligence, desires, thoughts), beyond thoughts (imagination, image, perception & defect less, pure, untainted, unsmeared). Therefore, Hey Arjun! having understood (recognized, identified) the soul in this manner, grief-condolence is undesirable (useless, unjustified, unnecessary).
Its not possible to see-observe the soul like a physical entity. One might need divine sight-vision. One may perceive, think, recognize, understand, intelligence and the feelings, sensuality, passions (always subject to change, variable, negotiable). But this is defect less, pure, uncontaminated, since it is free from change.
It has 8 characteristics through negativity or contradiction :: It can not be cut-divided, wet, burnt, sucked, inertial (unmovable, stationary), unrevealed, beyond thought, untainted-unsmeared & has 4 characteristics through positivity-reasoning :- Perennial, absolute, perpetual, stable, stationary, immobile and ancient-since ever, which is pervaded-present in each and every particle including all organism.
Prajapati has said that the Soul which is possessed with 8 characterises :- untainted (free from sins), ageless (does not grow old), imperishable (does not die), free from sorrow (pains, displeasure), free from hunger, free from thirst, truthful, determined to be true in resolve; should be identified (searched, traced). One who identifies it, attain all abodes i.e., Ultimate abode-Salvation (Moksh) and all his desires are fulfilled.
Oh the great-mighty warrior! After listening to me, still if you believe that this soul gets birth and dies, you need not go under depression (sorrow, grief), since you are not meant-born for this.
One who has born must die, this is what the nature is. How will one die, if he has not taken birth? O mighty Arjun! Realise, recollect, remember, who you are? The purpose-reason behind your birth is not to indulge in meaningless grief! The powers, Astr, Shastr, (divine arms & ammunition) provided to Arjun by the destroyer-Mahesh Bhagwan Shiv and Indr has a reason-logic behind them. The Almighty-the Lord of Lords Shri Krashn from his abode the Gau Lok him self is driving his chariot, too has a reason behind it. Who Arjun himself is to be understood and the purpose behind his birth too has to be understood, by Arjun? So, Bhagwan Krashn said, "You are not meant for grief". Arjun is an incarnation of the Almighty in the form of NAR and a component of Indr-the mighty king of deities-demigods, as a son. This is extremely important.
If this soul has an independent existence, where is it, how does it looks like, what are its features?! The soul rests itself in a place equivalent to the thumb of the human being. Some people correlate the soul with the ghosts, which too is dependent over the medium.
The sole aim, purpose behind human incarnation of the soul is social welfare, performance of his duties in the form of Varnashram Dharm and attain Salvation-Moksh.
Some experience-view it with surprise, other one describe-discuss about it with surprise, yet another one listens about it just as a surprise and there are the people who listens about it, but fails to recognise its existence.
Soul is a matter of surprise for some people, since it is beyond seeing, experiencing, view, observation, hearing-listening, reading-learning or identifying-discovering. Its knowledge is not worldly. It's amazing, wonderful, surprising. Its beyond the common man's understanding-limits.
PASHYATI means seeing and self identification. It needs the viewer, some object to be viewed and the power to see. Self identification-realisation, involves the organism, human being, individual. The viewer's body may constitute of the physical entity having 5 sense organs, 5 work organs, 5 airs in addition to innerself-Man (psyche, मन, mood, consciousness, seat of perception & feelings, inclination, temperament, will, character, purpose i.e., what one calls mind-heart and soul) and intelligence. Generally, one do not go beyond this, since its the limit for him-sufficient to know. Other than the material-physical body the 2nd type of body is exactly like the material one-first type, before the death but its weightless-divine, invisible. It is a subject-concept of the intelligence for understanding. The 3rd type of body is based on reason, logic, perception including nature. This soul is beyond the preview of nature. So, its very rare to find some one who has realised him self, due to lack of desire to do so.
The speech-intelligence itself is dependent over the soul. So, it is incompetent to describe the nature of soul completely, thoroughly, properly, making it an entity for surprise. When someone himself is not clear about it, how can he explain-elaborate it to others?!
The common man has no time to be curious either about the soul or him self. He is busy with work, gossip, fun & frolic, leisure, amusement, earning or other things. So, if one tells-talks about it, he will be surprised, may be curious.
This soul present in the body-physique is immortal & can not be killed. Therefore, O the great descendant of Bhrat Arjun! You should not feel sorry-perturbed for any organism-specifically these who have gathered for the war.
Its absolutely clear that the soul is perennial, absolute, imperishable, perpetual, while the body will perish sooner or later. No scripture advocate violence, killings, murders except Quran is only book which makes Muslims dreaded killers-murderers & terrorists. At present Islam is icon-synonym of Terrorism. It becomes essential during a war, conflict for maintaining law and order. This is religious obligation for being one, belonging to a marshal caste. Army, police, protectors, guards are appointed for this reason only. This is an essential feature of justice-law and order, as well. The king has to protect the nation, himself, the civilians-populace, society, individuals. If life is lost for serving the nation-residents, its virtuous not sin. Death for a just cause is pious-holy affair, unlike jihad by ignorant, misguided, power hungry, tyrants, killers, terrorists, invaders, intruders, sycophants, who must be repelled with might. Its the duty of each and every one irrespective of faith to vanish them. Only the body will perish not the soul. Its of no use weeping or mourning for the deceased for long since he is not going to return to wipe off tears.
Always remember that from Brahman-Dronachary to Nishad-Eklavy all fought Maha Bharat i.e., all 5 Varn are capable to fight-repel the enemy, tyrants. Why wait for the God, government or demigods-deities to rescue you?! Mahatma Buddh and Maha Vir just asked to make harmony, peace and Ahinsa-non violence; not to bear torture, violence, terrorism, insult. Rise up repel these cowards who attack over the back.
The Almighty addressed Arjun as Kunti Nandan! The Purush-Soul present in the body being timeless entity, free from characteristics, is a replica of the God. Though it resides in the body, yet it does nothing and remains uncontaminated, unsmeared, unconcerned and remains uninvolved (neutral, equanimous).
The soul is a component of the God. In spite of residing in the body, it remains free from the nature which has characters. It is since ever and is forever. Satvik, Rajsik and the Tamsik characters do not affect it. It remains uncontaminated-unsmeared. Though it resides in the body, yet it does not perform. It is imperishable and detached.
The manner in which the all pervading sky-space remains unindulged, being too thin-minute-microscopic-subtlety (सूक्ष्मता), the soul too remains unindulged by residing in the body.
A man is guided by motive. He works for the sake of reward, gain, output, result etc. If he discard the desire for the reward-fruit of his endeavour, he is automatically drifted away from desires, motives, attachments. The earth, energy, air and water are held by the space-sky which remains unsmeared in spite of holding them. These four are under of the influence of space which remains out of their influence, effect, impact. These are material objects (heavy), while space is thin, minute, microscopic. These four have defects but the space-sky is free from defects. The manner in which the space remains uncontaminated, in spite of holding them, the Soul too remain unsmeared-unindulged while residing in the body. Soul is forever, always, minute, imperishable, undefined, beyond imagination,  defect less, eternal and all pervading.
Soul, an eternal fraction of the God, in the form of an organism; under the influence of nature considers the innerself-consciousness and the 5 senses to be his own.
The body is mortal & the soul is immortal. The soul is eternal fraction of the God. The God is conscious about the well being of the individual organism, which passes through 3 abodes; the Heaven, Earth and Nether world, in addition to the 14 other cosmological regions-abodes, through various species. Having attained the body it considers only the body of its own, under the influence of ignorance (consciousness, psyche, innerself) and the 5 senses. He remains under the illusion till he is cautioned by the scriptures, intelligence, prudence and enlightenment. The God is always thinking of the welfare of the individual organism, since he knows and recognise each and every living being. The individual has to make serious, dedicated efforts to come out of the illusion, cut the bonds and release himself to assimilate in HIM.
Just as the air takes away the smell from its source, likewise  the  soul which had been occupying  a body, carries the senses (habits, traits, good or bad qualities, characteristics) along with the innerself, psyche, consciousness and insert it, in the new body attained by it.
The air is capable of absorbing the smells, scents (pleasant or foul) of all sorts, gases, moisture, dust, smoke etc. and carries them off. Slowly and gradually these absorbed impurities are laid off or washed off in rain. The soul which is present in the body too carries off the good or bad habits, traits, qualities, characteristics to the new incarnation. The impact of previous deeds remains with the soul till it subsides. One may acquire virtues or vices depending upon the company he keeps. A good company helps in reducing the burden of vices & sins accumulated in innumerable previous births. Scriptures, history, preaching by the saints helps a lot in the purification of the soul. Just as the sweat and dirt (scum, smut, dirt, filth, rancour, offscourings, composite, grudge, grouse, rancour, dregs, feculent, मैल, झाग, लुआब, मल, बदमाश, करखी का धब्बा, काजल का कलंक, गंदी बातचीत, गंदगी, मिट्टी, धूल, कीचड़, मैल, कचरा, पंक, धूलि, मलिनता, नीचता, विद्वेष, द्वेष, शत्रुता, धृणा, मालिन्य, तलछट, मिश्रण, मिलावट, असन्तोष, द्वेष, घृणा का कारण, ईर्षा, वैर का कारण, गुनगुनानेवाला, बड़बड़ानेवाला, विद्वेष, द्वेष, शत्रुता, धृणा, मालिन्य, गंदा, पंकिल, मटमैला, बदबूदार) present over the body are washed off, similarly the negative characteristics can be dropped in the present birth through good-virtuous, pious company.
Air is the greatest cleanser. It cleans itself automatically depending upon the conditions, climate, environment. Similarly, the soul is cleansed by the pious, virtuous company with the help of the guru, guide, mentor.
The living being uses the senses pertaining to hearing, sight, touch, taste, smell through the Man :- the innerself, psyche, consciousness, mood.
Prajapati has said that the Soul which is possessed with 8 characterises :: untainted (free from sins), ageless (does not grow old), imperishable (does not die), free from sorrow (pains, displeasure), free from hunger, free from thirst, truthful, determined to be true in resolve; should be identified (searched, traced). One who identifies it, attain all abodes i.e., Ultimate abode-Salvation (Moksh) and all his desires are fulfilled.

The living being make use of the Man-psyche, to experience the sensual pleasures-pains. The sensual and working organs are closely interlinked. The Satv Gun effects the psyche, Rajo Gun effects the life force and the Tamo Gun impacts the body. The soul experiences the pleasure-pain & passions in the body. The impact of these remain over the soul even after the death which is carried over to the next births. This process keep on going as usual, till the organism try to get rid of them and achieve Salvation which is possible through the human body only. Even the demigods & deities are spared by this rule.
The ignorant do not know-understand the characteristics of the living being either departing from the body or staying in the other body or enjoying sensual pleasures; but  the enlightened having the vision-eyes of learning know it.
The soul departs the body with the micro body which it had been thinking of at that moment and the third stage of the body-absolute body carries the features of the present body to next incarnation. Till the heart is functioning and the brain is working, one is said to be alive. Ignorant does not think beyond passions, sensual pleasure, comforts. Whole life goes waste in earning, feeding and fighting the problems. The soul present in the body remain inactive during survival, transition to other body and the interaction with the community-society throughout the life. The soul remain unconcerned, neutral, passive with the characteristics. The imprudent-ignorant is unaware of the soul, its characteristics and life after death. He is busy with his desires, motives, ambitions, targets, goals etc., only.
Yogis are found to move with their micro body from one place to another with the thoughts-desire. Their body normally remain warm, heart beat becomes minimum but the brain keeps working.
The Soul has 8 characteristics through negativity or contradiction :: It  can not be cut-divided, wet, burnt, sucked, inertial (unmovable, stationary), unrevealed, beyond thought, untainted-unsmeared.
The Soul has 4 characteristics through positivity-reasoning :: Perennial, absolute, perpetual, stable, stationary, immobile and ancient-since ever, which is pervaded-present in each and every particle including all organism.
Untainted (free from sins), ageless (does not grow old), imperishable (does not die), free from sorrow (pains, displeasure), free from hunger, free from thirst, truthful-determined to be true in resolve; are the 8 characteristics possessed by the Soul which should be identified (searched, traced) by one within himself. One who identifies it, attain  all abodes i.e., Ultimate abode-Salvation (Moksh) and all his desires are fulfilled.
Respiration-breathing keep the organism alive. When the soul depart the living being become motionless-dead. The soul which reside in the perishable bodies is immortal-forever. Hence it roams everywhere keeping its powers with it.
