अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।
गुणातीतं नीराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥
[श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता 2.47]
आ गावो अग्मन्नुत भद्रमक्रन्त्सीदन्तु गोष्ठे रणयन्त्वस्मे। प्रजावतीः पुरुरूपा इह स्युरिन्द्राय पूर्वीरुषसो दुहानाः॥
गौएँ हमारे घर आवें और हमारा कल्याण करें। वे हमारे गोष्ठ में उपवेशन करें और हमारे ऊपर प्रसन्न हों। इस गोष्ठ में नाना वर्ण वाली गौएँ सन्तति सम्पन्न होकर प्रात: काल में इन्द्र देव के लिए दुग्ध प्रदान करें।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.1]
Let cows come to our house and resort to our welfare. They should reside in our cow shed and become happy with us. Cows of different colours should have progeny and yield milk for Indr Dev in the morning.
इन्द्रो यजने पृणते च शिक्षत्युपेद्ददाति न स्वं मुषायति।
भूयोभूयो रयिमिदस्य वर्धयन्नभिन्ने खिह्ये नि दधाति देवयुम्॥
इन्द्र देव यज्ञ करने वाले और प्रार्थना करने वाले को अपेक्षित धन प्रदान करते हैं। वे उन्हें सर्वदा धन प्रदान करते हैं और उनके स्वकीय धन को कभी नहीं लेते। वे निरन्तर उनके धन को बढ़ाते हैं और उन इन्द्राभिलाषी को शत्रुओं के द्वारा सुरक्षित स्थान में स्थापित करते हैं।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.2]
Indr Dev grants wealth to the doer of Yagy and his worshipers. He just keep on granting them money and do not take their wealth. He continuously increase their wealth and keep them at safe place.
न ता नशन्ति न दभाति तस्करो नासामामित्रो व्यथिरा दधर्षति।
देवाँश्च याभिर्यजते ददाति च ज्योगित्ताभिः सचते गोपतिः सह॥
गौएँ हमारे समीप से नष्ट न हों। चोर हमारी गौओं को न चुरायें। शत्रुओं का शस्त्र हमारी गौओं को क्षति न पहुँचावें । गोस्वामी याजकगण जिन गौओं से इन्द्रादि का यजन करते हैं और जिन गौओं को इन्द्रदेव के लिए प्रदान करते हैं, उन गौओं के साथ वे चिरकाल तक सुखी रहें।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.3]
Our cows should be safe. Thieves should not steal them. Enemy should not harm them. The owner of cows who worship Indr Dev with cows and grant them to him, should survive-live with the cows for long.
न ता अर्वा रेणुककाटो अश्नुते न संस्कृतत्रमुप यन्ति ता अभि।
उरुगायमभयं तस्य ता अनु गावो मर्तस्य वि चरन्ति यजनः॥
धूल उड़ाने वाले वेगगामी अश्व भी उन गौओं को न पा सकेगें। इन गौओं पर वध करने के लिए प्रहार न करें। यागशील मनुष्य की गौएँ निर्भय और स्वाधीन भाव से भ्रमण करती हैं।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.4]
The speeded horses who raise dust, will not be able to have-catch these cows. Do not strike the cows for killing them. Cows of the person who perform Yagy roam fearlessly and independently.
गावो भगो गाव इन्द्रो मे अच्छान् गावः सोमस्य प्रथमस्य भक्षः।
इमा या गावः स जनास इन्द्र इच्छामीद्धृदा मनसा चिदिन्द्रम्॥
गौएँ हमें धन प्रदान करनी वाली हों। इन्द्र देव हमें गौएँ प्रदान करें। गाय का दूध सबसे पहले सोमरस में मिलाया जाता है। हे मनुष्यों! ये गौएँ इन्द्र रूप हैं, श्रद्धायुक्त मन से हम जिनकी कामना करते हैं।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.5]
Let the cows yield money to us. Let Indr Dev grant cows to us. Cows milk is mixed with Somras at first. Hey Humans! These cows are like Indr Dev which are worshiped by us with faith-honour.
यूयं गावो मेदयथा कृशं चिदश्रीरं चित्कृणुथा सुप्रतीकम्।
भद्रं गृहं कृणुथ भद्रवाचो बृहद्वो वय उच्यते सभासु॥
हे गौओं! आप हमें पुष्टि प्रदान करें। आप क्षीण और अमंगल अंग को सुन्दर बनावें। हे कल्याणयुक्त वचन वाली गौओं! हमारे गृह को कल्याणयुक्त करें। हे गौओं! यज्ञशाला में आपका महान् अन्न ही कीर्तित होता है।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.6]
Hey cows! Nourish us. Make our weak and unfit organs strong. Hey cows speaking welfare words! Make out house full of welfare. Hey cows! Your great food grains are appreciated-offered in the Yagy house.
प्रजावतीः सूयवसं रिशन्तीः शुद्धा अपः सुप्रपाणे पिबन्तीः।
मा वः स्तेन ईशत माघशंसः परि वो हेती रुद्रस्य वृज्याः॥
हे गौओ! आप सन्तान युक्त होवें। शोभन तृण का भक्षण करें और सुख से प्राप्त करने में योग्य तालाब आदि का निर्मल जल पीवें। आपका शासक चोर न हो और व्याघ्रादि आपके ईश्वर न हो अर्थात् हिंसक जन्तु आपके ऊपर आक्रमण न करें। कालात्मक परमेश्वर का आयुध आपसे दूर रहे।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.7]
Hey cows! You should have progeny. Eat good straw and drink the water from the pond comfortably. Your master-owner should not be a thief, the beasts should not be able to harm-overpower you. The weapons of death of the Almighty should keep away from you, at all times.
उपेदमुपपर्चनमासु गोषूप पृच्यताम्। उप ऋषभस्य रेतस्युपेन्द्र तव वीर्ये॥
हे इन्द्र देव! आपके बलाधान के निमित्त गौओं की पुष्टि प्रार्थित हों एवं गौओं के गर्भाधानकारी वृषभों का बल प्रार्थित हो अर्थात् गौओं के पुष्ट होने पर तत्सम्बन्धी क्षीरादि द्वारा इन्द्रदेव सन्तुष्ट होते हैं।[ऋग्वेद 6.28.8]
Hey Indr Dev! Its requested that the cows should be strong for your growth and the strength of the bulls who lead to their fertilisation. Indr Dev should be satisfied with the milk, curd, Ghee etc yielded by the cows.(22.09.2023)
