तंत्र तंत्र में प्राचीनकाल से ही कौड़ी को धन और बुद्धि दायक माना गया है। शुभ मुहूर्त देखकर दो पीली कौड़ी खरीद कर ले आयें। दैनिक कार्यों को करने के बाद महालक्ष्मी जी की अराधना करने के लिए तैयारी कर लें। महालक्ष्मी जी की प्रतिमा या तस्वीर रख लें और उसके सामने दोनों पीली कौड़ियों को रख दें। पूरे विधि-विधान से फूल, अगरबत्ती, धूप, गंध, अक्षत, भोग, रोली के साथ माँ लक्ष्मी की पूजा करें। पूजा समाप्त करने के बाद पीली कौड़ियों को उठाकर अपनी जेब में रख लें ऐसा करने से आपके ऊपर हमेशा माँ लक्ष्मी की कृपा बनी रहेगी।
Clam shells can grant wealth, wisdom and intelligence aided with prudence if worshipped methodically. Fetch 2 yellow Clam shells and prepare for the worship of Maa Bhagwati Lakshmi in an auspicious occasion-period-time, in consultation with the family priest-Pundit. An idol or picture of the deity has to be kept in front in North-East direction. Flowers, scents, rice, Kesar-saffron, coconut, Roli etc. should be kept ready for prayers. Dhoop, incense sticks have to be ignited.
Let the priest perform the Pooja. Perform-recite prayers related to Maa Lakshmi. After finishing worship keep yellow pennies-Clam shells in the pocket and keep raising it up to the grace of Goddess Lakshmi. Distribute Prasad amongest the visitors-participants in the Pooja. Give sufficient Dakshina to the Brahmn who performed the Pooja.
